Prior to installing RStan, you need to configure your R installation to be able to compile C++ code. In addition, we strongly recommend that you use RStudio version 1.4.x or later because it has great support for Stan. If necessary, you can install the latest version of R from here. However, using R version 4.0.0 or later is strongly recommended.
